This study aims to examine the impact of the geopolitical escalation between the United States and Iran on the stock volatility of energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research employs a quantitative approach using the event study method with an event window of eleven trading days (t−5 to t+5) surrounding the event date of February 28, 2026, as the US and Israel launched coordinated airstrikes against strategic targets in Iran, including military and security sites. The analysis includes stock return, expected return, abnormal return (AR), average abnormal return (AAR), cumulative abnormal return (CAR), and stock volatility measured using standard deviation, as well as a paired sample t-test to assess differences before and after the event. The results indicate that the geopolitical conflict significantly affected stock returns and generated positive abnormal returns during the event window period. Furthermore, cumulative abnormal returns show a positive market response, while stock volatility increased significantly after the event. These findings suggest that geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran contain important information affecting investor behavior and the performance of energy sector stocks in emerging markets such as Indonesia.
Linda Grace Loupatty Copyright (c) 2026 Linda Grace Loupatty https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2934 Thu, 18 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0700 ANALISIS PENGARUH BELANJA DAERAH, PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI, DAN TINGKAT PENGANGGURAN TERHADAP TINGKAT KEMISKINAN DI PROVINSI JAMBI https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2929
This research is focused on exploring the trends in regional spending, economic advancement, unemployment statistics, and poverty rates, while also investigating how these elements impact poverty levels in Jambi Province from 2019 to 2024. The study utilizes secondary data sourced from reports by Badan Pusat Statistik and relevant organizations within Jambi Province. The analytical approaches employed are quantitative descriptive analysis and regression analysis using panel data. The findings reveal that regional spending has a notable negative impact on poverty rates in Jambi Province. This suggests that as regional spending increases, poverty rates tend to decrease. Economic growth appears to have no substantial effect on poverty levels, implying that the benefits of economic progress are not evenly shared across different segments of the population. Similarly, during the study's timeframe, the unemployment rate does not appear to significantly influence poverty. When considered together, regional expenditure, economic growth, and unemployment rate collectively exert a significant influence on poverty rates in Jambi Province. The Adjusted R² of 97. 8% demonstrates that these three factors account for a large portion of the variation in poverty levels, with the remaining percentage attributed to other influences not covered in this research. In light of these results, it is recommended that local authorities enhance the management of regional spending, particularly in areas that directly impact community well-being, to better support poverty alleviation initiatives in Jambi Province.
Nindi Puspita Sari, Etik Umiyati, Nurhayani Nurhayani Copyright (c) 2026 Nindi Puspita Sari, Etik Umiyati, Nurhayani Nurhayani https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2929 Sat, 20 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0700 TOWARD A SMART ACADEMIC LIBRARY: EXAMINING SMART GOVERNMENT IMPLEMENTATION AND DIGITAL SERVICE TRANSFORMATION IN AN INDONESIAN PUBLIC UNIVERSITY https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2928
The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed governance practices across higher education institutions, encouraging university libraries to adopt smart government principles to improve service quality, operational efficiency, and user engagement. As academic libraries evolve beyond their traditional role as repositories of printed collections, they are increasingly expected to provide integrated digital services that support teaching, research, and knowledge dissemination. This study investigates the implementation of smart government within the library of Universitas Riau and explores the institutional factors that facilitate or constrain this digital transformation. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and institutional document analysis to obtain comprehensive insights into library governance and digital service delivery. The collected data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data credibility was strengthened through methodological and source triangulation. The findings reveal that smart government implementation has substantially transformed library services through the digitalization of information resources, improved accessibility, integrated information systems, strengthened technological infrastructure, and enhanced staff competencies. These developments have enabled users to access academic resources more efficiently and have contributed to more responsive and user-centered library services. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including incomplete system integration, infrastructure limitations, disparities in users' digital literacy, and the need for continuous professional development among library personnel. The study concludes that smart government provides an effective governance framework for accelerating the development of smart academic libraries while simultaneously improving institutional service quality. The findings also highlight the importance of integrating technological innovation, organizational readiness, and human resource development to ensure the long-term sustainability of digital transformation initiatives in higher education libraries.

Keywords: Smart government; smart library; digital transformation; academic libraries; digital governance; higher education; public service innovation
Eko Purnomo, Zulkarnaini Zulkarnaini Copyright (c) 2026 Eko Purnomo, Zulkarnaini Zulkarnaini https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2928 Mon, 15 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0700 PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI DITINJAU DARI PERSPEKTIF EKONOMI ISLAM (SURVEI PADA KANTOR CAMAT KECAMATAN KAMPAR KIRI HULU) https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2924
This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style on employee performance at the Kampar Kiri Hulu Subdistrict Office and to examine it from the perspective of Islamic economics. This paper examines the technological adaptation and operational responsiveness of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) under the dual impact of Indonesia’s Carbon Economic Value mandate (Perpres 110/2025) and the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). By executing an empirical emission audit on verified 2025 Sustainability Reports coupled with predictive scenario modeling, the study delineates carbon gaps and their financial repercussions. The empirical audit reveals a real emission intensity of 618 kg CO₂/ton of cement (Scope 1: 561 kg; Scope 2: 57 kg). When evaluated against the stringent CBAM threshold of 42 kg CO₂/ton of cement, a substantial excess of 576 kg CO₂/ton of cement emerges, thereby imposing cross-border fiscal liabilities on exported materials. Unmitigated operations at the current output of 30.14 million tons could subject the enterprise to domestic carbon penalties totaling IDR 521.3 billion. Nevertheless, the firm's near-term SBTi-aligned target to slash emissions by 33.7% by 2032 is actively backed by RDF deployment (achieving a 9.77% TSR) and the co-processing of 2.2 million tons of alternative waste. Information was gathered using surveys assessing views on altruistic leadership, innovation levels, and service excellence, then analysis using PLS-SEM (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling) to confirm hypotheses.

Findings reveal that altruistic leadership positively and significantly affects both innovation and public services, but innovation lacks a notable direct influence on services and fails to bridge the two. The work offers theoretical and applied insights into refining local leadership frameworks, along with suggestions for bolstering community-driven innovation to better public services.
Mela Lividia Belino, Muhammad Rasyid Abdillah, Jeni Wardi Copyright (c) 2026 Mela Lividia Belino, Muhammad Rasyid Abdillah, Jeni Wardi https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2739 Thu, 05 Mar 2026 00:00:00 +0700 PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN, KOMPENSASI DAN LINGKUNGAN KERJA TERHADAP MOTIVASI KERJA DENGAN KEPUASAN KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING PADA DINAS KESEHATAN PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT https://ejournal.kompetif.com/index.php/dayasaing/article/view/2738
This study aims to examine the influence of Leadership, Compensation, and Work Environment on Work Motivation, with Job Satisfaction as an intervening variable at the Provincial Health Office of West Sumatra.
