Abstract

Abstract: Community service activities is carried out in Kampung Melayu subdistrict
Sukajadi Pekanbaru. The participants consisted of mother-housewife in Kampung Melayu
subdistrict Pekanbaru City Sukajadi numbered 25 people. Community service activities aims
to provide knowledge and training: 1). About the making of various foods made from taro 2).
Presents and make it more attractive to package food and hygiene. 3). The sale price to the
right so as to expand the marketing reach. The training materials provided include:
knowledge of basic concepts, types and characteristics of Indonesian food, the manufacture of
various types of food made from taro. Manner of presentation and packaging to make it more
attractive and hygiene so worth selling and calculating the selling price. The method used in
this course are: lectures, discussion, demonstration, training/practice. In general,
participants attended the training well and excited this is based among other things on the
practice results achieved. After following this activity the participants can have knowledge of
food ingredients, types and techniques varied though. Trainees can mengola meatball meals
that use basic ingredients taro tuber with a variety of techniques though. Training
participants can present and package the food so that it becomes more attractive and hygiene.
Trainees can set the selling price with the right food.
